Rella:Cowan Selected As Marketing Partner For Historic Parrish Street

DURHAM, N.C. - Rella:Cowan Advertising, a full-service marketing and advertising agency, has been selected to develop a brand identity and marketing materials for Historic Parrish Street in downtown Durham. The agency will create a logo, sales tools and a new website to help the community of Durham draw new businesses to the historic district and to foster vibrant commerce for the businesses located there.

"We're excited to be working with Rella:Cowan to develop an identity and message for Historic Parrish Street," says Victor Gordon, Parrish Street Project coordinator. "The story of Parrish Street is one of entrepreneurial spirit and diversity, and we think that Rella:Cowan is the right partner to help us attract businesses inspired by our story."

In the early 20th century, Parrish Street was dubbed "Black Wall Street" due to the success of black-owned businesses such as North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company and Mechanics and Farmers Bank. Development is currently underway to restore Parrish Street, along with Orange and Church Streets, to a pedestrian-friendly district of quality retail establishments, unique restaurants and professional offices.
